Another important step would try new environments. This includes taking a different route to work or eating in a different hotel. Also, after work, take a different route home to see the other side of town you have never visited. 

You should change your routine day to day. If you have never gone to the movies, try it or take yourself on a date. It will feel awkward at first, but it is a way of growth.
