Habits make us, they determine what becomes of us. This means that your daily routine or habits determine your destiny.

It is, therefore, safe to state that bad habits will get you to know where. If you are lucky enough, the bad habits will just make you an average person; you will not achieve/realize your true ability with bad habits. 

Below, we discuss some important habits you should practice to be healthy and prosperous:

Make prayer a daily routine

Prayer is a powerful weapon that every person should embrace. A prayer in the morning and in the evening keeps you closer to your creator. 

It also gives you an avenue to thank your creator for the new day and being with you the whole day. There is no good thing than knowing you are connected with your creator.

Exercise

Exercising is a habit very many people struggle to form despite knowing the many benefits that exercising comes with. 

Exercising helps to keep your body fit by burning calories, help enhance your mood, relieve stress, build muscles, build a healthier heart and also improve endurance and strength to help you in your day to day.

You can make it a habit to engage in various activities every day. There are so many exercises you can do daily to stay healthy. 

For a more effortless involvement in exercises, gyms offer a variety of activities such as weightlifting, cardio, etc. 

You can also try to do some activities on your own such as walking to work, cycling, swimming, etc. The activities may seem to be normal, but they are very beneficial to your health.

However, before engaging in exercises, make sure you get advice from a gym advisor who will help you create a schedule for various exercises.

 In fact, just 15 minutes of exercises daily are enough to make your body healthier.

Reading is an essential habit to create. Research has it that not everyone is born with the will and passion to ready, but you can try to create the reading habit. Novels and inspirational books can be an excellent resource for reading.

Research has shown that reading improves your creativity, your memory, equips you with critical thinking skills, etc. Reading makes you sharp. 

At least for 30 minutes daily, you can pick up that novel, journal or inspirational book. If you do not have a passion for reading, you can try to read books interesting to captivate your attention.

Drink water

Water quenches not only thirst but has so many benefits in the body such as

-Flushing toxins from the body.

-Boost body immune.

-Improves skin beauty and health.

-Helps in digestion.

-Maintain blood pressure.

-Prevent headaches.

-Regulate the body temperature etc.

As you can see, taking a glass of water on a daily basis has so many benefits to the body. Research has it you should take at least 8 glasses of water daily. 

When you are on medication, take around 12 glasses of water daily to flush chemicals from the body.

We must eat to survive. You must watch your portion; you must watch your diet. Eat a healthy meal daily. Eating healthy means you must eat a meal that comprises all the required nutrients in the body. 

A balanced meal must have proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, roughages & fibers and water. They are components of every meal that help the body in various ways.

Remember that it is a bad habit to eat and go to sleep. Take 2-3 hours after eating to relax so you can digest before going to sleep. When you sleep on a full stomach, digestion doesn’t take place. Sleep slows down metabolism.

However, the balanced diet can be altered if you are trying to lose some weight. When losing weight, cut carbs from your diet since the body already has a lot of carbs that have been converted to fats.

The people you surround yourself with are the people who determine the real you. They shape your character. Philosophers have said that you are the face of five of your friends. This means that the people you associate or socialize with have the power to drift your character and beliefs.

If you stay with criminal-minded people, the chances are you will end up having the same thoughts. If you stick or socialize with people who are entrepreneurs, you are also likely to walk away from employment to become an entrepreneur. 

This means that if you want to succeed, make it a habit to always stick around the great people. They will make you great.

It is better to sail alone than to sail with people who are not willing to move. Pick your friends.
